The UCCS is proud to announce the nomination of Frédérique Pourpoint, a researcher at ENSCL, as a junior member of the Institut Universitaire de France (IUF).

Frédérique Pourpoint has a solid scientific background in the field of Nuclear Magnetic Resonance (NMR) of solids. She works on the advanced understanding of porous materials such as MOFs (Metal-Organic Frameworks) using solid-state NMR. Her main focus is the characterization of defects in the complex structure of MOF (Metal-Organic Frameworks) materials and the study of their stability when exposed to external stimuli (humidity, gases, etc.). Using high-resolution NMR methods for quadrupolar nuclei such as 17O and 91Zr, she investigates the dynamics of these materials, opening perspectives for new applications. The main objective of her IUF project is the characterization at the atomic scale, of the interaction between gases (CO2, H2, H2O) and porous materials using advanced high-pressure NMR techniques.
Congratulations to Frédérique for this nomination!
