Team leader foreword

Founded on the 1st January 2025, the CASETE team possesses expertise and know-how ranging from materials synthesis to the development of alternative processes in the fields of energy and the environment. The combination of these skills now allows the members of the CASETE team (16 permanent EC and C staff) to work on the experimental catalyst development chain (preparation method, reactivity, characterization, and shaping (UPCAT platform upcat.univ-lille.fr/)) and on the development/optimization of associated processes. The scientific activities of the CASETE team cover many topics such as the preparation of porous (MOFs) and bulk (Perovskites) materials, the remediation of atmospheric pollutants in the air (VOCs, NOx) and in water (Nitrates, Bisphenol A, etc.), the production of clean fuels, the recovery by pyrolysis of plastic waste, or the development of alternative technologies for the synthesis of energy vectors (chemical looping, µ-reactors, mechanosynthesis). The CASETE team is involved in numerous academic collaborations (PHC, ANR, Interreg, etc.) and works closely with the industrial world (SEGULA, ORANO, TOTAL ENERGIES, etc.)
